u

How do I know if my system needs service?

LVI Service does annual testing to make sure your system is in working order. However, if there is ever a problem on the system that needs to be addressed, the main panel will notify you immediately.  For security systems, there is often a beeping notification that will let you know to check the keypad.  If you are unsure of the problem you can call us for assistance.  For a fire alarm system, the FACP will tell you if there is a trouble on your system. This will automatically be sent to your fire department as well as LVI.

u

What is the main component of a fire alarm system?

The Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP). This is a main control panel that the entire system reports back to.  It is the “brains” of the fire alarm system. The FACP should be located where it can be responded to as necessary around the clock. In the event of an alarm going off, the FACP will let you know what kind of alarm it is and where the problem is located on the system.

u

Can I change/ add pass-code on my security system?

Yes. You can change your pass-code or add user codes on your system.  This can be changed through the main keypad or through LVI.
